CHALLENGE

The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School is one of the largest online public schools in the nation. The school chose FEV Tutor as an approved tutoring provider to support students in Grades 3-12 with coursework completion and preparation for Spring PSSA assessments.

As a Title I School, PA Cyber’s academic goals included boosting proficiency rates on PSSA Assessments for low-performing students, improving graduation rates, and increasing student participation in supplemental tutoring support.

CHALLENGE

Epic Charter Schools, the fastest-growing school district in Oklahoma, had an urgent need to fill a live instruction gap and partner with an innovative Online Tutoring organization that could support and sync with its unique virtual/blended, personalized learning model while bridging skill-gaps in Math and English.

CHALLENGE

Riverview Gardens School District (RGSD) is a diverse urban district located in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. RGSD Students historically struggle in Math and ELA and with the changing rigor of Missouri Learning Standards (MLS) and Missouri Assessment Program (MAP), students throughout the district were falling behind.

CHALLENGE

ACCEL Charter Schools is a charter school network that serves more than 11,500 students in grades K-8 across various socio-economic backgrounds in the state of Ohio and nationwide.

In the winter of 2019, ACCEL chose to partner with FEV Tutor to help drive gains on the NWEA MAP Assessments and bridge skill-gaps in Math and ELA for students in Grades 3-8 across 9 of the turnaround schools in Ohio. These schools were the lowest-performing across the network, with less than 30% of students meeting grade-level proficiency.

Last month, the FEV Tutor team traveled to New York to attend the Center for Educational Innovation Summer Leadership Conference hosted in the historic suburb of Tarrytown. We had the opportunity to meet with over 500 principals, assistant principals, and administrators.  In addition to our lively booth, conference attendees could experience innovative speaker sessions covering a variety of exciting topics. Conference attendees also joined us at our sponsored happy hour where we had the opportunity to meet and network with some of the  best educational leaders.

CHALLENGE

Pleasanton ISD is a rural school district located south of San Antonio in Pleasanton, Texas. Pleasanton ISD serves students in a ranching and small business area and supports a large number of low-income families. The district chose to partner with FEV Tutor to help drive gains on the STAAR assessments and bridge skill-gaps for Special Education, ESL, and Migrant students. Historically, special student populations at Pleasanton ISD had performed below the state average on STAAR Assessments.

CHALLENGE

Children of Promise Preparatory Academy is a public charter school located in Inglewood, California. COPPA serves a high low-income student population (93%), and a majority of students are considered at-risk due to low-income status and low performance on benchmark and state assessments. In January 2018, the school partnered with FEV Tutor to help at-risk students bridge skill-gaps in both Math and ELA.

In 2017, Children of Promise Preparatory Academy performed better than only 0.6% of elementary schools in California. COPPA needed to get students additional supports to keep them on track to fulfill California A-G Requirements and place them on a College and Career Ready path.

CHALLENGE

North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA), a statewide online public charter school, had an urgent need to improve proficiency on state assessments after receiving a D School Performance Grade from the state. NCVA’s biggest deficits were in Math and needed an intervention to have an immediate impact on student performance.

Fulton County Schools (FCS) is a diverse urban district located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area with a designated ‘Achievement Zone’ serving a high At-Risk (Title I) student population. Students in the Achievement Zone, including Love T. Nolan Elementary School, historically struggle in Math and ELA and with the changing rigor of Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and Milestone Assessments, students throughout the Achievement Zone were falling behind.
