Connecting Live 1:1 Instruction to Google Classroom

As schools and districts remain closed, remote learning platforms have become a necessity for teachers and students affected by COVID-19. We are finding many traditional brick and mortar schools are exploring different types of distance learning resources, including Google Classroom. We understand that these are unprecedented times, and to support teachers, FEV Tutor can align with teachers' content by connecting to their Google Classroom account.

Our virtual platform allows students to work 1-on-1 with a qualified tutor seamlessly. Our School and District Partners are all assigned an Academic Success Coach (ASC) who will work with you to create a tutoring program that is personalized to each learner and designed to accomplish the academic goals set forth by your staff and leadership teams. If your school or district is using Google Classroom and is looking for an extra layer of instructional support, follow the steps below to share your Google Classroom content with our Instructional Team!

How to Align 1:1 Online Instruction with Google Classroom Content

1. Edit G Suite Domain Settings

To change the settings in your G Suite Admin, go to admin.google.com. Once you get here select "Apps" and then click on "G Suite." Once you get there select "Classroom" and click "Class Settings." Under "Who can join classes in your domain," select "Any User!"

2. Contact Your Academic Success Coach

Contact your Academic Success Coach (ASC) to determine shared classroom goals. Your ASC will share best practices for aligning 1:1 Online Tutoring to your core learning environment.

3. Add FEV Tutor as a Co-Teacher

In order to share course content with FEV Tutor, teachers will need to add support@fevtutor.com as a “Co-Teacher.” This will allow teachers to seamlessly share their Google Classroom content with our Instructional Team without any heavy lifting.

4. Go Live!

Tutors will meet live, 1-to-1 with Students, acting as a direct extension of core teachers and Google Classroom curriculum.
