FEV now partnering with k12 School Districts to deliver Live Virtual Proctoring Services
As the pandemic nears the one-year mark, many parents and educators are concerned about measuring students’ learning loss and providing fair grading and assessments. After the time missed from school closures and the understandable learning curve adapting to remote learning, one thing is clear: the pandemic’s impact is far-reaching and will likely exacerbate issues for special student populations.
As the year comes to a close, we have much to reflect on as a company and as individuals. It has been a challenging year for sure, but we learn and grow through our struggles, and we find strength and triumphs in unexpected places. When this pandemic hit, we were all left wondering, “what now?” collectively questioning how to face the challenges that seemed insurmountable at the time. I’m so proud of and encouraged by our team and network of K-12 education partners, who, in the face of chaos and uncertainty, rallied around a common goal of helping students reach their academic potential no matter the circumstances. It’s the day-to-day moments in working together, collaborating and problem-solving, and watching each and every team member have such a positive attitude and growth mindset that inspires me. As our marketing specialist, Isabella Cigna, reflects, “It’s great to make plans and set goals, but - as we’ve all learned - life doesn’t always pan out the way we expect. So a great quality to have is to be able to make changes on the fly and be prepared to adapt to whatever happens.”
Due to the spread of COVID-19, we understand that for schools/district to make sure virtual learning tools and technology available for students has been challenging. Not all students and families have access to the technology needed for distance learning (laptops/desktops/WiFi). At FEV Tutor, we believe in providing equitable access to all learners alike to continue accelerating academic growth. We have developed two remote learning apps available on the iPad and iPhone.

As mentioned in our previous post, 2015 was a record breaking year for FEV Tutor in terms of the number of virtual tutoring sessions delivered. However, this year also marked another important milestone: this summer FEV Tutor released our own HTML5 native interactive whiteboard.
FEV's new proprietary whiteboard includes a number of enhancements from our previous versions and has helped FEV to improve the quality of our virtual tutoring! We are excited to announce FEV will also be releasing a new and improved iPad App in the first quarter of 2016 and introducing a series of upgrades to the FEV Tutoring Portal throughout the course of the New Year.
