CHALLENGE
Fulton County Schools (FCS) is a diverse urban district located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area with a designated ‘Achievement Zone’ serving a high At-Risk (Title I) student population. Students in the Achievement Zone, including Love T. Nolan Elementary School, historically struggle in Math and ELA and with the changing rigor of Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and Milestone Assessments, students throughout the Achievement Zone were falling behind.
SOLUTION
Beginning in 2014, FEV Tutor started working with FCS Achievement Zone schools as part of an integrated solution with cohesive data- driven tutoring services beginning at the Elementary School level (ex. Love T. Nolan ES) all the way up to the High School Level with programming designed to drive achievement on State Tests and boost graduation rates.
School Partners like Live T. Nolan ES shared student Milestone and Unite Assessment score so that the FEV data team could analyze and identify students that would benefit most from live, 1:1 tutoring and to create Personalized Tutoring Plans for individual students.
