At the end of each school year, FEV Tutor ran a testimonial contest open to all teachers and administrators at our partner school sites. We believe it’s important to not only know how our students feel about our services but also the educators implementing tutoring in their classroom. We were happy to hear such positive reviews, but don't take our word for it, take a look at some of our favorite submissions below.
An Intervention Program that Delivers:
“Intervention Programs are everywhere for schools to purchase - they usually come with a kit and a promise for great rewards of student growth. Unfortunately, most do not deliver what they promise. FEV Tutor DELIVERED! The program is structured to ensure student growth. The individual tutors develop a lesson based on the student's STAAR scores, Benchmark Scores, classroom teacher's lesson plans and then customize the instruction to fit the student's academic needs in the subject. More importantly, the students enjoyed the program and working with their tutor which is half the battle of instructing students. FEV Tutor has allowed our students in Pleasanton to make gains in areas that we always fell below the state average especially with our students in special programs. For example, ELA STAAR scores for 8th grade ESL students showed 67% expected growth and Math STAAR scores for 8th grade ESL students showed 100% expected growth. I highly recommend this program for all school districts!”

The Extra Push to Graduation:
"Without FEV, my student wouldn't have graduated. The flexibility, the availability, and the knowledgeable staff of FEV are what helped one of my students earn her diploma...and I couldn't be more thankful!
After coming to me with countless challenges and a handful of courses needed to complete, I knew this student would be a challenge. I pulled together all of the resources I had, but it just wasn't enough. This student could only meet after hours, often times working on coursework well into the night due to work and family restrictions. She needed personalized, one on one help to guide her whenever she needed it. FEV completely fit the bill!
This student was able to access FEV tutor as she needed, on her own schedule, and because of this she was able to get the help she needed to pass her remaining classes. Tomorrow afternoon I will watch this student earn her well-deserved diploma and will know that it would not have been possible without the incredible services of FEV.
Thank you for meeting students at their point of need; you are making all the difference!"

FEV Students Showed the Most Growth:
"I am the 8th Grade Homeroom and Intervention teacher at Children of Promise. Children of Promise is located in Inglewood, in a high-need community. The students have faced many obstacles in both their personal and academic lives. I have watched them flourish academically this year, achieving the most academic growth in the entire school. I attribute this success to our partnership with FEV Tutoring. FEV Tutoring's online platform was engaging for my 8th Graders and cultivated in them a sense of self motivation. It allowed my students to take ownership of their education, establish personal goals and meet them. It has truly been a pleasure for me and my students, working closely with the tutors this year and look forward to a continued partnership."-- Richelle Brooks, 8th Grade Intervention Teacher
